Genius Sports Groups secured a long-term deal with the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) to manage its data. The partnership reflects FPF's aim to improve the fan experience by providing data-driven content from the different competitions including Liga 1, Liga 2 or Copa Perú. Data such as live insights from matches will be captured to design fan engagement solutions that will be communicated across the world.
The Government authorised the injection of 10 million soles ($2.67 million) into the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status in charge of identification services to the Peruvian population. The funds are to be transferred from the Contingency Reserve of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The Government approved the financing of over 54.21 million ($14.48 million) to the Ministry of Labour and Employment in order to fund the Health Social Security (EsSalud) and provide social protection to COVID-19 patients who are not able to continue working.
Economy and Exports Research Centre reported that 2,941 Peruvian companies participated in all exports from January 2021, representing a 5.6% increase from January 2020. Around 97.3% of these companies are micro, small or medium-size enterprises and most of the growth is associated with the agribusiness sector.
The Commission of Peru's Promotion for Exports and Tourism introduced Peruvian and Japanese investors to a project portfolio worth over $120 million, mainly including investments in manufacturing, mining, high technology and renewable energy sectors. In the past 15 years, Japan has been responsible for 19 FDI projects in Peru, worth $370.8 million.
