The government announced that a total of 985,000 Peruvian businesses would be supported by the loan extension of its reactivation and support plans. The PAE-Mype plan will also make accessible new loans to SMEs that have suffered from the several lockdowns. The FAE-Mype plan allows companies to take on loans up to 90,000 soles ($24,362).
The online platform Exportemos.pe will benefit over 10,000 Peruvian entrepreneurs and potential exporters every year. This digital interface will gather valuable information on business opportunities for SMEs to improve their international competitiveness.
The Peruvian government announced that 135.23 million soles ($36.6 million) will be received by regional and local governments in the country to finance 57 public projects.
As part of a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Health, German Agency for International cooperation donated 100 thermometers, 100 oximeters and 1,760 disposable face masks to the region of Lima. The agreement aims to benefit 137 health establishments, as well as indigenous populations, in their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
