Peru’s economy to experience 30% rebound in second quarter of 2021

The Central Bank of Peru estimates that despite the lockdown causing a 1.5% GDP fall, Peru should experience a 30% rebound in the second quarter of 2021. In addition, it confirmed its GDP growth projection of 9% for 2021. This growth is mainly associated to the recovery of the economy and the performance of copper in the world market.
