36,000 food producers’ competitiveness increased thanks to government programme

Peruvian government communicated that the Programme of Compensations for Competitiveness in the agricultural industry allowed around 36,000 local fruit and vegetable farmers to improve their competitiveness, supported by more modern infrastructures and new technologies. These results originate from the 430 million soles ($177.6 mn) investment in the sector since 2010.
