Over 70,000 of Peru’s 200,000 restaurants had to close due to lockdown

The Ministry of Economy announced a programme of 2 billion soles ($55 million) to support small and medium companies that were highly impacted by the lockdown restrictive measures, such as restaurants. Indeed, according to the Lima’s Chambre of Commerce, over 70,000 restaurants had to close in Peru, causing over a million people to lose their job.
