Companies dedicated to maintenance services in Peru, between 10 and 12, move around 250 million soles ($68.47 million) a year. Only 75% of those companies have a formal maintenance plan for their facilities because many wait for an issue to happen before looking for maintenance.
The Ministry of Economy announced a programme of 2 billion soles ($55 million) to support small and medium companies that were highly impacted by the lockdown restrictive measures, such as restaurants. Indeed, according to the Lima's Chambre of Commerce, over 70,000 restaurants had to close in Peru, causing over a million people to lose their job.
Summa Gold's concessions in Huamachuco have a reserve of 1.1 million ounces of gold and should thus have a life of 10 years with a production of 80,000 ounces a year. The company will invest $145 million in its operation up to 2026 and will create 1,400 direct and indirect jobs.
