Peru wasted $2.5 mn on skateboard tournament

The World Skate Open Lima 2020, a skateboarding tournament, was supposed to attract around 6,000 tourists but the COVID-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of the event. Promperú, the commission for the promotion of Peru to exports and tourism who initiated this event, lost around $2.57 million. However, the event is not yet cancelled and coud be postponed.
