Lima’s vehicle fleet responsible for 70% of air pollution

According to the UN Development Programme, 70% of Lima’s air pollution originates from the city’s vehicle fleet, largely explained by its 13.6 years average age of cars, one of the highest in Latin America. Changing only 5% of taxi cars could reduce around 100,000 tons of CO2.
